Cayetano Heredia Strengthens Its Global Engagement at NAFSA 2026

Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia participated in the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo 2026, the world’s leading international education conference, held from May 26 to 29 in Orlando, Florida (United States). Each year, the event brings together thousands of professionals, universities, and organizations from around the world to exchange experiences, build partnerships, and explore new opportunities for academic collaboration.

Representing the university, Mr. Francesco Mencaroni, Director of the University Office of Institutional Relations and Internationalization (DURIN), held meetings with representatives from institutions in more than 18 countries. These meetings fostered connections with universities and organizations from cities as diverse as Bodø (northern Norway), São Paulo, Granada, Verona, Saarbrücken, Daegu, Wuhan, and Guadalajara, among many others.

Each meeting provided a valuable opportunity to learn how higher education institutions are responding to the challenges and opportunities arising from the political, technological, social, and economic transformations shaping the world today. Discussions also explored potential areas for collaboration, including student mobility, academic exchange, joint research, and the development of international programs.

The 2026 edition placed special emphasis on key topics that will shape the future of higher education, including the use of artificial intelligence in internationalization, global health, sustainability, inclusion, and equity. The conference also served as a platform for sharing best practices and gaining insights into the trends redefining international cooperation among universities.
