Cayetano Heredia and VIU strengthen their international partnership in research and academic training

Cayetano Heredia and the International University of Valencia (VIU) continue to strengthen their academic cooperation by promoting hybrid student mobility, joint supervision of doctoral theses, online international collaborative learning, and the integration of postgraduate programmes.
During the institutional visit held on Monday, 31 March, at the Central Campus (San Martín de Porres), authorities from both universities reaffirmed their commitment to enhance institutional collaboration. These agreements will help strengthen doctoral programmes in psychology and health technologies, expand academic exchanges through the KA171 programme, and encourage participation in Ibero-American scientific and technological cooperation networks such as CYTED.
Representing Cayetano were our President, Dr Enrique Castañeda; Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr Giancarlo Ojeda; Director of the Psychology Programme, Ms Esther Yaya; and the Director of the Institutional and International Relations Office (DURIN), Mr Francesco Mencaroni. Representing VIU were the President, Dr Eva María Giner, and the Vice-President for Research, Dr José Martí Parreño.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Nursing Simulation Centre, the Centre for Learning Resources (CREA), and the Research and Development Laboratory (LID), where they toured the Laboratory of Palaeontology and Vertebrate Evolution and were welcomed by its coordinator, Dr Rodolfo Salas-Gismondi.
This meeting marks a key step in the global projection of our university, consolidating its leadership in education and research according to international standards.
