Representatives from Arturo Prat University in Chile visit Cayetano Heredia to explore international academic cooperation

Consolidating strategic alliances with universities in the region is essential to strengthening our academic and scientific projection. In this context, on 15 April, we welcomed representatives from Arturo Prat University (UNAP), Chile.
The main objective of this visit was to establish cooperative relations focused on academic exchange and research collaboration. In addition, the visit aimed to strengthen institutional ties, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The visiting delegation was composed of Dr Ezequiel Martínez, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation; Dr Julio Benites, Full Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences; and Dr Pedro Buc, Researcher at the UNAP Institute of Ethnopharmacology.
During their visit, they toured emblematic spaces of our university, such as the Abraham Vaisberg Wolach Research and Development Laboratories (LID) of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FACI), the Medical Simulation Room, and the Historical Library. These facilities reflect not only our cutting-edge infrastructure but also our institutional commitment to academic excellence and the generation of knowledge.
Representing our university were: Dr Carlos Cáceres, Vice-Rector for Research; Biol. Gabriela Sobarzo, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Mag. Violeta Pérez, Head of the Office for Research Promotion; Dr Francisco Villafuerte, Head of the Department of Biological and Physiological Sciences at FACI; and Mag. Francesco Mencaroni, Director of International Relations. During the meeting, a comprehensive overview of our institutional work model was presented, along with the strategies implemented to foster scientific and technological development in the country.At Cayetano Heredia University, we reaffirm our commitment to international cooperation as a way to enhance our institutional capabilities and build a university increasingly connected to the world.
