Our University and Cayetano Heredia Hospital Collaborate to Enhance Health Education
Our university has signed a significant specific cooperation agreement with the National Cayetano Heredia Hospital, reaffirming its strong commitment to providing the best academic and professional development opportunities for its students. This agreement, involving the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing, aims to promote comprehensive education through teaching-service activities and research at one of the country’s most prestigious healthcare centers.
Through this agreement, students from the Faculty of Nursing will have the opportunity to participate in specialized programs such as Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU, Surgical Center, Oncology Nursing, Occupational Health, Nephrological Care, and Emergency and Disaster Nursing. These activities, conducted under the Non-Residency model, will provide our future professionals with invaluable hands-on experience in critical and highly specialized environments.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Yesenia Musayón, Academic Vice-Rector, and Dr. Pedro Saona, Dean of the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing. From the hospital, Dr. Segundo Acho Mego, General Director, and Mr. Ricardo Ramírez, Executive Director of the Administration Office, were present. This initiative not only strengthens Cayetano Heredia’s mission to offer high-quality education but also expands opportunities for students to gain essential competencies in patient care and medical attention in critical areas such as intensive care units and emergency medical services. This comprehensive approach ensures that our graduates are fully prepared to meet the challenges of the healthcare system and make a significant contribution to the well-being of society.
