Ibero-American Cooperation for Academic Development
The La Rábida Group, established in 1997 by the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA), currently brings together 107 higher education institutions from 18 countries. Its mission is to strengthen the training of teachers, researchers, and postgraduate and doctoral professionals, promoting institutional development and knowledge exchange.
It also supports joint degrees such as official master’s programmes and jointly supervised doctorates, fosters collaborative networks, and is working towards the creation of a School of Governance for Development in Ibero-America, aimed at institutional strengthening and sustainability.
Cayetano Heredia’s integration into the La Rábida Group reinforces its regional leadership in education, research, and innovation, consolidating its role in building a more connected and sustainable academic future.
