Cayetano Heredia is the first university in Peru for the seventh consecutive year, according to THE World University Rankings 2025
Cayetano Heredia celebrates an important milestone by remaining, for the seventh consecutive year, as the number one university nationwide, since its inclusion in the renowned THE World University Rankings in 2019. This achievement reaffirms our commitment to academic excellence, the quality of research and our international projection.
In this edition, our university has demonstrated an outstanding performance in the indicators of research quality and international outlook. In the first one, it achieved a score of 57.20, which reflects the quality and impact of our research at the national and international level.
It also stood out in international outlook, with a score of 49.70, positioning itself above the global median. This indicator reflects the university’s level of international collaboration, as well as the diversity of its staff and student community.
About THE World University RankingsThe 2025 edition is the most extensive to date, evaluating 2,092 universities from 115 countries and regions, 185 more than the previous year. This year, the ranking implemented the WUR 3.0 methodology, which uses 18 key indicators to measure institutional performance in five main areas (teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook). The analysis is based on a comprehensive analysis that included more than 157 million citations and 18 million scientific publications, in addition to data collection through 93,000 surveys of academics from around the world. With this recognition, Cayetano Heredia reaffirms its leadership in higher education and its influence on scientific research, standing out as an institution of international projection and commitment to academic quality.
